If you think it will help. BTW what steps did you take to get it working? Updates etc. What cybergrafx settings did you use?

Is there any way to trick the cybergrafx updates that I have the CDrom inserted?
I do have the CDrom to hand if that helps, it's just the buffered ide interface I have doesnt function :(

I've created a partition called CyberGraphX_4. Im going to copy the contents of the CD to this partition and hopefully trick WB in to thinking the CD is there! :D
You could have just copy the contents to a folder and then assigning like:
Dunno if it searches something in CD though tbh.Code:1> Assign CyberGraphX_4: DH0:Your_Folder_Name
I'll send you the Monitor tonight when i get home just for you to gief it a try :)
It worked fine from a partition named the same as CD, but still same problems.
When you install from the CD, do you choose CVPPC? as there is no BVPPC.
What updates do you install?
Thanks for the help :)
There you go mate :)
In the CGX Installation you will choose CVisionPPC of course and after installation, replace the monitor with mine and report back.
Only drawback is that the icon is PNG (due to Ken's Icons) so if you don't have PowerIcons or AfAOS you won't be able to see it but it's np :)
You can replace it with another icon from Monitors via drag and drop in Icon Information window.
Cheers
Thanks mate :) I know this is a stupid question, but where are these saved :P And will this just work with CD installation or do I need updates etc?

Well upon looking, it seems it resides in devs/monitors :)

Thanks to everyone to get me here, especially mfilos. Thankyou! :D BIG Thankyou :D
^^^^^^
All you gotta do now is repeat it half a dozen times & then you'll be able to do it blindfolded. ;)
Joking aside, well done chap! :)

Its like a pyramid at the moment, with the number of times I've installed OS3.9 to getting a working system. Credit must be with the people here and over at EAB. I just follow instruction and break things, a lot!

Did you end up installing any of the BoingBags ?
Awesome work bro!
I'm really glad you managed to get it working
For some reason... I was 100% sure that the problem was the Monitor Driver :)
Cool
Well done Wasagi :) But let me get this right... you have TWO BPPC's?? One here from Stan and the other one with Cosmos thats causing gyp?
No BBs as I was told they cause problems. I may try to install them on another installation.
Yep, I just wonder why I was having problems. Did you go through the same?
I still have some problem though as I cant get quake or warptest to work. Warptest still complains about no modeid, and quake says it cant set a mode. Gears fullscreen doesnt seem to work either, just the windowed versions.
Well, I bought one PPC here on amibay that hasn't worked since I received it, so I decided to get it repaired. In the meantime, I wanted to try out BPPC loveliness and also wanted a rev2 card in case I setup a G-Rex system in the future. I'm not sure what will happen to the other BPPC when/if its fixed. Im not sure I can afford to keep it. We will see!
You should install BBs for sure! They give nice updates to many shity issues that stock 3.9 has.
I don't remember if I had issues on Warp3D since I have only installed the WipeOut demo so far. I had issues when I wanted to fix the huge cursor plus some more settings and then while searching I figured into making my own Monitor filetypes.
Dunno about the other games but just check the resolotion u're trying to run the games.
From my nuby experience with WipeOut (and my native 1280x1024 resolution) the best resolution with great fps was 640x480.
Do you have the correct 060 libraries mate? I never had issue with my BB1+BB2 installation (not to mention I'm currently running BB3+AfA OS - cause I didn't have time to install BB4 hehe).
If you won't find any solution, i'll send ya mine along with powerpc libs etc.
Don't worry we'll figure it out :)
Breaking things, can be CPU Libs dependant, especially on these kind of systems. ;)
Kin
Edit. Pah mfios...you pipped my post! :p ;)
Yup copied the 060 libs. The problem only manifests itself when I install Powerup + Powerup update.
AfAOS does look good. I tried installing it and adding the necessary items to the startup sequence, but could not find some of the things it mentioned with regards to getting themes working.
This is a whole learning experience and I really appreciate the help. I feel like I am asking a million different questions, but I do honestly spend days on each thing then seek help. Copying OS3.9 over 3-4 times a day using winuae etc takes its toll :P

I'm still having issues. Do you have cybergrafx updates installed? If I try to install any of the higher updates RC5/RC6 I get setpatch errors during the install.
I swear I must be going wrong somewhere.
1)I install OS 3.9 to an empty partition in winuae using amigasys as my 'host'
2)I then copy 060 libs into libs.
3)Copy this to a CF card using FM3.
4)Boot in a real amiga and install powerup + powerup update.
5)Install Cybergrafx
6)Try to install cybergrafx updates, it screams about setpatch?
The only way I got it to work was to go to step 5 and copy across your monitor file. But still it doesnt feel like its really working as anything other than windowed warp3d things bomb out!
I can make you a copy of my partition just to check it out.
I'm on with BB3+AfA OS 4.2 (yeah it's old but didn't got time to upgrade) plus CGX4 with all the updates.
Gimme a call if u want a copy at some point :)
Marios my friend,
May I ask you to send me copy of your boot partiton?
I need it to test Blizzard PPC + BVPPC as well.
Right now I'm doing this from AOS4.0 configured for BVPPC, but would be nice to have good AOS3.9 setup.
And yes, I have legal (original) KS3.1, AOS3.1 and AOS3.9.
I have original AOS4.0 as well.
I will PM you right now! :)
No prob man. I know u do have legal 3.9 and 4.0 Installations.
I'll make ya an lha backup of 3.9, 4.0, MOS partitions of mine just to have some bootable testing environments :)
(Will remove though my registrations for MUI, WHDLoad, OxyPatcher, MathLibs, WarpDT etc...)
Many thanks Marios my friend!
Finally I will run MOS for Classic Amiga! :D
I've found some helpful info on this matter on a.org (not the most popular place right now, I know!).
I hope its Ok to post a link, otherwise I can just copy the contents:
http://www.amiga.org/forums/showpost...0&postcount=24
That post contains exact information on whats needed to get a working OS3.9 + BB1+2 working with a BPPC + BVision.
I know I'll be trying that very soon :)
Just to say thanks to Mfilos. It appears that my Bvision is working fine and it is just my monitor that is REALLY fussy with screenmodes :(
