A2000

Well my newly aquired A2000 has to go, in order to fund my ever failing A4000:(

it boots up lovely, it's floppy drive works spot on with a lovely red led:)

motherboard says it's a rev 4.1

it has version 2.0 roms

it has a meg of ram, half chip and half other

includes a scsi cd rom drive but no scsi card?????

this is just the base unit doesn't come with mouse/keyboard etc and it is a heavy machine!! so it may be expensive to send abroad

looking for £30 plus carriage (within the UK around about a tenner)

To help buyers decide, has the bettery been removed and was there any signs of leakage?

battery has been removed and replaced with a watch type battery (CR2023)

good luck with selling it, our in joke is that cockcroches and A2000 will survive a nuclear blast :unsure:

A2000s are pretty-much indestructible, aren't they? I thought mine had died recently. I pulled it apart and put it back together again, and guess what, it's working again. :-)

I couldn't get one of the A2000's working, stranger error colors again and again.
I dumped the A2000 in the shower, yes you are reading it correctly, in the shower, cleaned the whole board and it was really wet.
Pulled out the hair dryer and after that let it dry for a day.
Still strange errors, but getting grey and light grey, so showed signs of booting, replaced Gary, a bit more, saw even a white screen, but no kickstart.
Replaced Paula, kickstart screen, but no drives ticking, replaced CIA's, tick tick tick tick :wooha::D

Juvuk, where is the battery on a A2000 mobo - I have 2 a2000 stored - but I hate the looks, but never looked for the battery :( oops (yup stored for 10 years in my hands:dry:) Just asking to preserve my units, sorry to hijaack
