A1000-A500 expansion adapter

Selling a rare stuff here. It's a cable to connect A1000 expansions to A500 (or, I think, it should work otherwise too?). Seems fully contacted, but 6 pins are not (could be the POWER for external expansions). READ ON!

I got it with some A1000 expansion, and it was made from someone back then, to let the sidecar work at A500 I think, so Sidecar has own Power, that why I think its the power signals.

It's aprox 30 to 35 cm long. From an Expansion Port connector to a PCB. The connector comes to the expansion port on Computer, the PCB comes in the expansion.

Cannot test as I can't see where top or bottom is and I don't know enougth, have no interest in that cable adapter.

NOTE: It seems SELF MADE and the buyer should know how to solder or multimeter pins. Be sure before connecting that no equipment or Amiga get damage! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE ON ANY HARDWARE YOU CONNECT.

To me, it looks good and useful to someone, but I don't have any knowledge about the expansion signals on A500/A1000 and the differences. I don't want to solder that 86 pins, was a lot of work for sure :)

It was designed to give the A500 the Sidecar expansion. So you can use A1000 expansions on A500. IT COULD BE OTHER WAY ROUND. Hope that someone here could answer that????

You can easy find it out by plugging in HAHAH, no, just see where the wires go (multimeter) and after that it should be "other way round" as the A1000 has right side and A500 left side port.

I could have a look at this later exactly but its really cool for some projects or other things.

You can use 500/1000 expansions interchangeably anyhow: it will be "back to front" when used on the other machine.

That looks like an extender to me, which could be useful: I would imagine it could really put a huge amount of potential for noise, reflections and other nastiness on the Zorro bus though, which isn't terminated...

Made by one that knows what to do he told me - don't know about the buffer that slot has, but if you can drive a sidecar (which is quite complex) it should do with other expansions too!)

Are you asking for someone to declare interest? Just remember that you should wait at least three weeks since your last post in a thread before bumping it unless something significant has changed in your sale or request. You are always allowed to bump with a price drop.
