I am looking for one Acard AEC-7720U adapter.
Hi,
On evilbay I saw couple. Sending PM, maybe this help.
Hi
Sending PM.
I would love a few of these too... but have you seen the prices they go for?!? Crazy.
Tell me about it. I'm planning to get one in the new year to cf hdd up an old Mac I'm using, but they seem hard to come by. Googling does throw up a few forum posts from years previous mentioning a brand of adapter selling on eBay for $20 but can't find any that cheap these days.
Hi
Is permited to publish an BIN link of EvilBay?
Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies.
The reasonably priced adapter on eBay is a 7720UW (68-pin). Will this one somehow work with a GVP 4060 Trex-II accelerator (SCSI-II 50 pin)?
Yes but you'll need yet another adapter.
@alexh:
Would it be a simple wired conversion from 68 pins to 50? I think an extra adapter of any kind in conjunction with the Acard adapter, would pose a space issue in the original C= A4000D case.
Be warned. Whilst everyone seems to find it easy to get a 68 pin (or even 80 in some cases) scsi hard drive to work on a narrow (50 pin) interface by using an adapter.... I have tried three times with three different drives and have never had any luck... :(
