It is the High Def version ?
Says High Definition Graphics in the big black circle around the cartridge slot.
Then i have to withdraw on this.
Sorry wasting your time.
Bump
Didn't it only say HDG on the first few batches?
So far as I was aware the only hardware revision throughout the whole of the MD1 lifespan was something with the sound processor... Can't recall the details however at the moment... But it made the sound a bit worse through the higher quality outputs after the revision.
Anywhere I can get more info on what you're talking about Seaside?

Ah, from Wikipedia...
- Video outputs PAL 50 Hz signal.
- Smaller "16 BIT" logo than Japanese model, as per the Genesis.
- English-language settings.
- Unable to play Japanese Mega Drive games due to shape of cartridge slot. However, adapters were sold to play Japanese games in the European model, and by widening the cartridge slot it is possible to play many import games with no additional modifications, especially with the earlier games.
- Cartridge lock removed.
- The text "High Definition Graphics · Stereo Sound" located behind cartridge port (only found on earlier models).
- The reset button and the start button are white.
- Model number 1600-03 (original model), 1601-03 (second variation without "High Definition Graphics - Stereo Sound" text or EXT port)
So the model thats missing those words should also be missing the EXT port.
Model number on one that has the earlier motherboards Seaside is after should be 1600-03 as above
