Hey guys, I notice that Blizkick does not work with the Aca630 (bummer).

The only module I want to use is SpeedyIde, is there another way to do this? I am running ClassicWB 68k over WB 3.1, so there is no RomUpdate.

Is it possible to patch the scsi.device of 3.1? Or is there another way of getting the Speedy Ide speed up on a 3.1 system?

You can use either LoadModule command, or make a custom kickstart via Remus (I have a guide here in photobooth section) and load it via MapRom.
You can make it 1MB and load whatever module you like.

I learned this in my early days after busting clips off about 4 cases :(. I decided to have a close look at the way the clips were positioned and came to the conclusion that the sides would have to be popped first.

Hopefully this will save a few cases from being damaged by people who dont yet know!

Today I received this item from an evilbay seller for £6 delivered, an Edup MCR-5A:

It reads SD/MMC, Memory Stick/MSPRO, and SmartMedia - works perfectly with compactflash.device! :) Hot-swapping works and the icon appears and disappears if I remove/reinsert either the memory card or the PCMCIA card. :thumbsup2:

I get a transfer speed of about 1.3MB/sec with this adaptor and a FAT32 formatted 1GB SanDisk Ultra II SD card - ideal for feeding the machine with more stuff :D

Highly recommended, and a bargain! :thumbsup:

This is my APower switching power supply - totally awesome, takes up less space on my somewhat space-deprived desk, and delivers more juice, with the added benefit of being small enough to comfortably put in a laptop bag with the A600 - perfect for parties! :drinkin::pint:

Fantastic d0pefish! :) And that APower is really awesome isn't it? I have one powering my crazy A1200D and it only gets quite warm, not hot at all.

Works as great as these cards ever did :) I'm using AmiTCP 4.3, and getting online to transfer files is quick and convenient. I used Miami to start with, then switched to AmiTCP and noticed slightly improved performance.

I've also repaired some external disk drives, and hooked them up! :) You can see my PSX DualShock controller hooked up too, on one of Paul Willingham's fantastic adaptors. I love being able to use it to play my favorite Amiga games :)

Also seen in the picture above is another device! :D I also thought I'd play with a Progressive Peripherals & Software FrameGrabber my best friend gave me a long time ago when I was at school with him! :D His uncle bought it at a car boot sale, thinking it would work on a PC. When he found it was for Amigas, he let my friend have it, thinking he may be able to use it. Well, this wasn't the case, but my friend knew I was an Amiga nutjob, and kindly gave it to me. It has its original box, all cables, manuals, and disks - perfect condition too!

Anyway, I hooked up an old camcorder to it, and this is the result! :lol:

And finally, my latest purchase, again from evilBay, but it completes the setup - a smart little dustcover, which fits perfectly and has a neat little cutout for the mouse/joy leads and for the ports on the back. :thumbsup: I bought this to protect her from the inevitable beer spills during particularly hard drinking sessions. :drinkin: And just to keep the dust out. :thumbsup:

Sorry for the poor pictures, it's dark in here and there's only so much my camera can do, but the dust cover does look very nice in real life. It's a grey colour and has a nice Amiga badge sewn on :)
