I'm back with news :)
My new flyback is finally in my hands after the Royal Mail doing their card trick and me having to go parcel hunting! :lol:

Reattaching all the wires and placing the board back into its tray in the chassis.

Fire the monitor up, and.... the power LED turns on, but no screen... :unsure:
... but I turn up the voltage potentiometer on the new transformer and...
IT'S ALIVE! :D:D:D:D :drinkin::thumbsup2::pint:

...but out of focus as you can see! xD
A careful tuning of the focus potentiometer on the new transformer returns the Philips to being as bright and sharp as it ever was! :D

The flyback was the only thing wrong with this Philips monitor. I'll do the caps soon :)
Looks like my first encounter with high-voltage scary stuff was a success, and I managed to do everything safely :D
