2 PCI Graphics Cards with Mediator

Howdy Folks!

Anyone know if you can run more that PCI Graphics card with a Mediator?

I've got the Voodoo 3 running now in my A1200 Tower as my Voodoo 5 had started playing up :(

Its not all bad news though because the Voodoo 3 has actually fixed some other Warp3D issues I was having with Wipeout2097 so now I can play in full screen but thats another story!

Anyway when OS4.1 comes along I want to run the Radeon for OS4.1 but I want to keep my Voodoo 3 for OS3.9 - Can this be done? I'd just use a screen with DVI and VGA inputs instead of a switch...

This is all in my A1200T by the way, the Mediator is a 1200SX...

pretty sure that is a no

depends on what you want from the 2 gfx cards ??
don`t know if they will do 2 displays at same time
but with new library fairly sure you can add memory from 1 gfx card to your fast ram

I want to use the Radeon for my OS4 (later OS4.1) setup and use the Voodoo for my OS3.9 to keep full Warp3D support in my games.

So I wont need to use both at the same time, but I wouldn't want to keep swapping the cards over :ninja:

Not bothered about adding the Radeon Ram to OS3.9, 256mb from the Blizzy is plenty :thumbsup:

if its just display cards - then yes, you can have multiple cards since there config entries are different - however if its the use of RAM from the display cards - that's going to take some experimentation but it should work.

hi steve i have both voodoo3 and radeon in mine. im able to use both at same time with difernt progs and either as desktop.and use the spare ram as fast ram with new pci lib.

Thanks again mate! I posted on EAB too as there are quite a few OS4 ish users that post on EAB but we also have our Guru's here :D

Anyone know if I need a 3.3v or 5v Radeon for my Mediator 1200sx? Oh and what model Radeon is best for this kind of setup?

I think - and John can correct me here =) - that you need the 9200 256MB 5v Radeon =)

I dont know if the 9200SE is supported to be honest.
