PC Hardware

A few odds and ends I was cleaning out of a parts drawer. Will probably never use them, so maybe they are of use to someone else.

The two graphics cards are NVidia GeForce FX 5500s. They are AGP 8x 256MB. Both working fine. $20.00 each.

The CPU is an LGA 775 Pentium 4 3.00 Ghz 800mhz FSB. Working Fine. Upgrade that slow Celeron! $15.00

The laptop SODIMMs are 1 x 512MB DDR II, the other is a DDR III... but its size is a mystery. I am fairly sure it is 1Gb, and it would HAVE to be atleast 512Mb... anywayz $5.00 each.

The others are Geil DDR400 512MB "gaming ram" (supposedly). As a pair they give 1gb. Now, from memory SOME boards do not seem to like this ram. I remember them playing up in a Celeron 2.4ghz system, yet they worked perfectly in another p4 system. Weird. Anywho, $10.00 for the pair.

TokyoRacer was looking for this type of Ram, can I reserve it for him till he next logs in? Sure he'll be around in a few hours as he's pretty hard core lol.

This RAM usually requires the voltages to be bumped up for stability or even to work at all. Most motherboards will try running it at the stock voltage of 2.6V... I found it needed around 2.8-2.9V when i used it a few years ago (even Geil recommends a slight voltage increase).

It's a bad time for me at the moment since eBay has just stung me with a whopping fee but if the DDR400's are still about after a few weeks il go ahead and take them.
