a 603 and a630 and indivision ecs

It is declared to fit - but it is not actually. Anybody other eperience with it


I hotglued the a 603 fix it firm and then used a extra socket to install the indivisione ecs.

Otherwise the a603 lost signal due to pressure coming from the a630 cpu:Doh:

Yep you are right my friend.
Without an extra socket under Indy, there is no firm connection with the A603. It's been mentioned over EAB as well.

Thanks, without the extra socket it hits the cpu itself wich is slightly fatter then the cooler on top.:Doh: It looks like a line is close to the cornor so no dremel on the indivision ecs:(

I'm considering getting this and the ecs, but I hope it doesn't require too much to get it work together? has the 603 from before.

Oh this sucks, I just bought an Indi ECS. It dosen't fit with my Apollo 620 so was finally going to bite the bullet an order the ACA630! I'd have thought these would have all been designed to fit together :Doh:

1)Well I rule out fitting it without an extra socket, these are easily found on evilbay, even onces you can cut in pieces. It just hits the cpu badly and gives then red screens etc

2) I do believe the cooler is in the way as well and it is not a stable structure without hotglue the A603 so the connecter stays straight.

I only make myself strong at point 1. so not much trouble to fit it..

I just used some glue to support the socket so it could be pressed and make the indivision ecs working

You could get some material off the metal cooler and avoid this glue stuff as well, I preffered to use this method, since hot glue can be removed if you have a bit of experience with it.

I didn't have to use any hotglue to keep Indy pressed mate.
Apart from that, the ACA gets really hot from time to time, so hotglue isn't the best thing to support it (since it can easily melt).

The Aca 630 is not hold by hotglue - only the indivision ecs has a bit on it to keep it in place. I know that hotglue is not great for some hot stuff, but thanks for the warning. and the A603 is helt in place to keep the connector straight and inline. I wonder what happens if you move the A600??

I bought one A600 and all expansions described here ("travelling" now)..... Also I have extra sockets.....

With sockets is needed to fix the IndyECS?

Can be made a carefully Dremel job on ACA630?
