Desperate need of Amiga 1200 PAL - Budget £50

Hi guys, I am in desperate need of a PAL Amiga 1200, I need to back up all my old mods and samples as I have a stash of old disks. Had my father check my old A1200 and it is not working, so basically I have a budget of £50 for an A1200, is there anyone able to help? If possible it would be nice if it is still relatively white, also if there is a ram expansion, I can offer items from Japan like PC Engine games or Super Famicom items in addition to the £50. I would want to have the A1200 sent to my address in England.

I believe there may be one here that hasn't been claimed...
It's described as 'working but not cosmetically perfect', but if you're desperate you can always change the plastics. The price is right ;)

I do have a spare 1200 that I picked up recently. I intended to take the case off and mod for my chavved up 1200 I'm working on, but the new one was so clean (and unopened, factory seals intact) that I decided it'd be a crime to kill her good looks. I'd be happy with £50 (plus shipping, parcel2go would be 8 or 9 quid, and payment by paypal gift, fees paid by you). She comes with PSU and mouse, has 3.0 roms fitted, 3.0 system disks, but no expansion board unfortuantely.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll take some pictures. I've tested her with RF cable and works fine, but I will also test composite and run a good few programs on her as well.

Friendly advice: If shes booting okay you could do with checking sound output out too as shes never been opened on the offchance the caps are on their way out.

Note: If there are sound issues, test with a known working PSU as I recently discovered, after much frustration, that caps in the PSUs are just as likely to cause sound issues as the caps in the machine.

I have an amiga 1200 you can have for £50. it comes with a 500psu and an ide adaptor that fits in the clock port for a need external HD.

Thanks for the offer Olfa&Amiga, do you have any photos of the Amiga that you could upload, at the moment I am looking at stevecole`s A1200 but if that does not go through I would be interested in yours.

While I am on the topic, does anyone have a ram expansion for the A1200 to sell, I am currently waiting on the pictures from stevecole and if I go for his A1200 I would need a simple memory boost, if anyone is looking to get rid of one please drop me a message. :)

Perhaps a seperate thread would grab more attention for the memory expansion with it having its own forum space and heading etc. :thumbsup:

I have a theory that whilst expansion cards seem to go for much lower prices in oz, that the actual base Amiga units go for less in europe.

I have purchased 060 cards etc at half the price they seem to go for in europe, but I would rarely see an a1200 for anywhere near 50 pounds. Hell, I dont think Ive seen an a600 go for that price over here.
