Okiez, I finally received this Cyberstorm Mk III back. Unfortunately, Nathan did not have an a3k or a4k in the shop at the time to test it, and so sent it untested, assuming it was working fine as it only had a simple problem.
Well, there is a problem! Plug it in and power on, screen changes shade of grey... and thats it. Only other symptom is the two chips marked CY7C3741-83AC 9737 114301 get very hot, almost too hot to touch.
Any ideas?
there is only one solution for you, send it to me FOC, and i'll test it in my A4K for the next 25 years just to make sure, what do you think?

If these chips are hot after few seconds it's very bad symptom, somewhere is close. Thats chips are normally hot after couple minutes when you use CSPPC inside closed case.
You can check capacitors, to see if are OK and soldered in good directions.

Well, when I say a few seconds, its more like 30 seconds, but definitely under a minute for them to get hot.
