AOS4.x on your A3000
Ok, I'm on a roll ;)
I've decided I'm going to put the nice lady behind me (A3000T) to some good use. Now I know I have the A4000T right here beside my SAM Flex running AOS4.x but I've decided I'll populate my spare 604e and put it in the A3000T.
Now I know there is some sort of INT2 modification?
Before I go wasting hours trying to research all this I was wondering is there anyone on here or even more than one that has or is running AOS4.x on a A3000 and were the ones that got it changed to do so?
Any other traps to avoid or bridges to build to make it all painless?

AFAIK, no need to make the _int2 modification on A3000T.
Is it an A3000 Towerised?
-
oh really?
That's pretty cool then! yes, it's a proper 3000T
Just memory then!
Thanks!
And that would give me a warp accelerator for the a desktop one... although, there's not much room in there!

_int2 modification on A3000D: it's only if you want to use SCSI on the accelerator card without any problems (e.g.: SCSI controller of the CyberStorm Mk2 accelerator card).

Thanks for the resources, I will check the A3000T MB out!

Yeah, the INT2 mod is trivial and is only needed if you want to use SCSI on your accelerator card. It's one wire to connect a pin from one of the CIAs to a pin on the CPU Fast slot.
-
So if the A3000T has had this done will I see a wire or would it be part of the actual board now?
-
The A3kT needs the patch wire, too.
You'll see it on the back of the motherboard, if it's done.
-
ok thanks!
Lets hope because the Warp Accelerator has SCSI? that it has been done? :-)

The hack is only really needed if you plan to use the WE SCSI instead the one built-in on the A3000.
Disable the SCSI on the accelerator and you are ready to go.
