Acard AEC-7720uw SCSI - IDE adapter

As title, picture attached.

Selling this adapter as it is the 68 pin version, and seeing as I want to use it in my 68K Mac and that has a 50 pin SCSI cable, it's more hassle than it's worth, I need to source an adapter that handles high byte termination apparently and the one I picked up off ebay doesn't. I have found such an adapter in America, but the shipping is insane for a lump of plastic that weighs less than a packet of fags and I refuse to pay it! Anyway, long story short, I'm offloading this one and buying the 50 pin version. Should have done a little more research in the first place I guess...

Price is £70 shipped in UK, £80 shipped in Europe, happy to post to more far flung places, but will need to get a specific shipping quote, but it'll be £70 for the card plus whatever the postage to wherever you are is.

Just thought I'd make clear that the adapter that doesn't handle high byte termination that I'm ranting about above refers to the 68-50 pin adapter I bought to hook between my mac and the Acard, not the Acard itself.

If you decide to keep this i have adapters from 68 to 50 pin. If this offers any use for you.

But the shipping is $40+ which is more than I can accept without feelings of sadness and rage... hence why I'm leaning towards sourcing the right Acard board locally rather than fork out more money on a bodged solution.

If you have the right adapter though and less insane shipping cost, then maybe we can talk ;)

Thanks for the link to the adapter with High Bit Termination. I'm actually going to pick up at least one for myself and I'd be happy to pick one up for you as well. Shipping from me to you would be around $14 for Priority Mail International. :) I can get them shipped to me for around $10.

You can ask from the seller to send this as a letter. I'm buying stuff and memory modules from the States. I never paid more than 5-6 bucks as a letter.

Sorry about intruding in this thread but i also have this adapter but no 50 pins adapter so far. I do not understand the problem about the high bit termination.
As i intend to use this with a CF adapter, do i need a special adapter? I have ordered a cheap 68 to 50 pins from Ebay China: will it be ok?
What about hooking a real IDE hard drive?

Hello. I don't know too much about it myself to be honest other than what I've been told. Basically, fitting this 68 pin Acard board to a 50 pin computer needs to have an adaquete adapter in between, which the el cheapo ones from ebay are not. If you're fitting it to a computer with 68 pin scsi cable on the motherboard, then there's no issue.
