USB for my Amiga's

Hey Chap's and Chapesses :)

Next upgrades for my Amiga's will be USB, none of them have this at present and its something I'd like to add.

Looking peoples thoughts on what setups to go for, ideally I was thinking:

A Deneb for the A4000D, make use of the flash for some custom kickstarts and also for a USB WiFi adapter.

A Subway USB for the A1200D or maybe I'd stick it in the A600 (not decided) Would love two lol but we're talking crazy money...

Elbox Spider USB for the A1200T, now would I be able to use the USB Stack from the Subway with this or am I going to have issues finding one?

I guess these will be sometime throughout the year as I've pretty much spent enough over the last 6 months... But these are the little wish list if you will :)

I have not tested the elbox spider usb, but newer versions of poseidon do not support it. Poseidon usb stack is a good product, it works surprisingly well.

Elbox Spider boards comes with unregistered Poseidon stack... Is a large history.....

You need to find one old Poseidon version (under 4.0) with a registered key. But I think is very hard to find one.... :(

This boards works on PC's and if I don't remember bad, under OS 4.1. But for classic Amigas these are beautiful doorstops...

The best is to use DENEB & Subway :thumbsup:

@merlinkv, you think I should use a Subway in the A1200T as well? I hear this is slower than the Deneb and Spider?

Also will there be any issues using Subway with my Mediator/Voodoo setup?

Ah, I must have read wrong, I thought I saw someone using a Wifi USB adapter. USB LAN is also fine, no other way to get this A4000 online since for some reason my X-Surf will not work in it :thumbsdown:

Hi my friend.

Of course, Subway are slow because the clockport connection. It recognizes USB2.0 devices but don't works at "high" speed. All devices works like USB 1.1 standard.

If I don't remember bad, I read in other sites about some users have installed Mediator & Subway... no issues reported (as I know).

About USB LAN... works great :thumbsup: Wifi, not tested.

If Subway dosen't work in the A1200T at least I can use it in the other desktops...

You could use the subway over a clockport in a bigbox as well. The speed of the subway on a1200-600 030 amiga is not great, but doable.

I have a deneb as well on a bigbox 060 I don't notice slowdowns, I even had the impression that on my original A3000 with deneb, the speed was better then on my A600 subway. (popups, recognition etc, even in zorro II mode) This while in therory the aca630 should be quicker.
