I've got a MacroSystem Casablanca Motion II Rev 1.2 digital video editing system for sale.
It comes with a 9.1 GB removable SCSI HD, 32MB ram, keyboard, trackball and the systemsoftware installed as well as on floppy. Original manual with serial number is present.
On the original box (and on the Casablanca) the Rendering acceleration and DV option are ticked.

If I understand, this model is the excellent patched Amiga OS-based nonlinear video editing system. But can it run Amiga software? Unless I'm mistaken, it is not compatible with any Amiga software, unlike earlier DraCo?

There are some people trying to get a Workbench running but it really is a video editing machine build around Amiga hardware with a heavily patched Amiga OS.

As far as my research took me - I had the chanche to buy the same but declined because I did not like the idea it was not running some software BUT as far as I read this runs all amiga software that does not need custom chipsets like aga etc... That rules out games, but rules in a lot of workbench software on rtg etc...
As far as I know it runs modern software quite nice and quick. You will probably have some issues getting os 3.9 etc... I think it is a bit challenging this machine:nod:

I think the only games that will work are those who can run in RTG/RTA systems.
Maybe Genetic Species, Total Chaos AGA and a few others.

Casablanca does not show a Workbench, it directly boots to a video-editing environment
