Hi! guys I need an ide ctr that fits in the front memory slot of an A1000 and I cant remember what the cards called?:( I think Jens made it a couple of years ago can anyone enlighten me to its name and where I may be able to get one.

Yep, it's the Buddha Phoenix edition, now replaced with the Buddha flash phoenix.
It will *ONLY* fit on a Phoenix edition of the A1000 though, NOT the CBM A1000. (It will work with the GBA1000, too :D )
Also works in a standard Z2 slot. You will need to solder on an 86 pin connector for the Zorro expansion.

so you have a phoenix motherboard? or GBA1000?
Hi! yes a Phoenix my friend oviously without the scsi chips onboard:( so this could be another solution.

Does it have the circuitry for SCSI but just lacks the controller chip?
Hi! it needs a WD scsi chip and I believe a PAL chip which I wish I could source hence the easier ide alternative maybe I should pop over on the german board someone may be able to help with the pal chip? the WD scsi chip is easy to get we will see:D I'd like to get it up and running with a hard drive though.
