From now on, I will be known as "Lucky *******"!
I recently heard of a retired fellow selling off his old Amiga gear. After a quick chat I found out he had an a4k, which he sold to me at a fair price.
Upon picking up the A4k, he showed me a big box of "junk" and asked me if I could make use of it, or should he throw it away.
The box of "junk" was given to me free... and it was difficult to keep a straight face as I left his premises...
...the "junk" inside the box consisted of .... A Cyberstorm Mk III card, a Picasso II card, a GVP Combo 030 card with two 4mb gvp ram modules, a squirrel Pcmcia adapter, a 2091 card, a Buddha IDE card (not flash), heaps of ide and scsi cables, a couple of scsi cdroms, a couple of small scsi hds, some kickstart roms (mainly 1.3 and 2.04) and assorted floppy disks.
I estimate the "junk" to be worth three times as much as the a4k...
So far I have only tested the Cyberstorm, GVP and Picasso II - all appear to work perfectly.
I suppose I have now used up all my luck and will now be hit by a bus. :)
