Easy ADf

Hi, i have just received a PCMCIA to CF adapter kit with Easy ADF and im having a few problems, wonder if anyone can help.

I have followed all the instructions provided and everything seems to go according to plan, but it says that there is no card in device CF0.

I have a Kingston 4gig CF card which i put a couple of ADF files on, i also took the CF card out which is in my 1200 which has WHD load on with loads of games and still no joy.

Any ideas?

Is the flash card you're trying to use FAT formatted?

Is it the 4gb Kingston with the flower on it?

I think some people said they don't work on PCMCIA, they're fine on IDE though.

I have a flowered Kingston here. Does not work on IDE nor PCMCIA. OK use for PC-only.

I have a Kingston CF drive, and it works perfectly in my A600, albeit slightly slower than I would expect.

I've got a couple of those 4GB Kingston CF cards with the flower picture and neither of them will work for either IDE or PCMCIA.

I had to instead buy a Sandisk Ultra 4GB CF card and that works perfectly.

I know this is off topic, but isn't it strange how the same device works fine for some but for others it doesn't work at all? Minor differences in the same hardware can just boggle the mind.

These cards are the most common cheap ones on ebay which would suggest they are often fakes. Ive had several and all have worked on IDE but some have shown to have less capacity!

This could explain some of the random results.

If these cards are no use to you Id love to see if I can get them working on an Amiga.
