Nope. The PCIINFO file is purely for diagnostic purposes to show you what is attached to the PCI bus. Vendors.txt not required in S: directory either. Sorry, but you're very wrong!

Thanks my friend, you know how badly I want this mediator to work :smile: . I have two 060 mkii, 3640 and 030 . With all of them pciinfo recognize all pci boards but only with 030 I can run radeon monitor from devs without error from picture 2.
If it is not 100% that logic boards are the same I will send it with my daughter board to Steve.
Hi again my friend.
Of course, I can wait to Steve's test (or other people you want). As I said before, if he don't find a solution and you disagree, I can refund your money+shipping costs to my home without any problem. :)
But, please, don't take too much time to decide, because I have the cash reserved fo this, and I need the money for other projects. :roll:
I cross my fingers for you :thumbsup: as I know you wait long time for this PCI Kit.
All the best
I finally got the time to modify my Mediator 4000Di MK-II to allow it to use my 3.3V Radeon 256MB (added a +3.3V line to "PCI2" only)
Had a bit of trouble getting it to work... "Radeon" crached when doubleclicking on it in Devs:Monitors/
But with a lot of testing and using merlinkv's archive with the needed files i finally got it working and Workbench is now on 1280x1024 through DVI on my Radeon :cool:
I've attached the MedReport file so you can compare all libs/variables.
And the Radeon is in "PCI2" (second from bottom) which is the recommended slot (at least for OS4.x Classic)
MASTER: CLOSED
WINSIZE: CLOSED
SWAP CONFIG: CLOSED
Recommended slot/card configuration.
Mediator PCI 4000 Slot: Mediator Logic board (Bottom Slot)
PCI1: Nework Card
PCI2: Graphics Card
PCI3: Sound Card
PCI4: SATA Card (Top Slot)
I'm very happy now... DVI is sooooo sweet :D
@drbrain
My congratulations my friend... a great mod here!!!!!! :thumbsup:
It's possible for you to publish some pics? :)
Best wishes
I've updated my Tower conversion thread with a few pics of it...
http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=14561
It isn't very exciting to look at as it's only a cable soldered to the Mediator. But the result is very exciting :D

The main thing that stopped "Radeon" from craching with "8000004" was to change the WINSIZE to CLOSED (512MB), but you've already tested that with no luck?
And the final touch was a mix och merlinkv's files and trial and error :roll:
@bebek
Be careful m8....... your Radeon is 5v "moded" by Elbox......
@drBrain
I have matched your config (except PPC and other PCI cards) and still 80000004 whan run Radeon monitor ... :(
I have noticed a difference with Memspace0 from pccinfo: mine is showing $60000000-$67ffffff and yours $40000000-$4fffffff , I can accept address but the size is different...
@bebek
Testing with two different Elbox Radeons 9200 256MB -one is exactly like yours and the other, more new, have different caps- in the same A4K... the Memspaces 0 & 2, InterruptPin and ROM space are different in both cases.... :shrug:Quote:

All other descriptions (Vendor, ID's,...) are equal
The two boards works 100%

@Bebek - more on PM my friend :thumbsup:
All the best,
Steve.
This is great. Now I will look for voodoo card and will take it from there.
Thanks a lot Steve. I hope I will have a chance to payback :bowdown: .

see here http://www.falconfly.de/identify/Voodoo3_3000_PCI.jpg
Good news ...... :)
Hi Guys
I Had loads and loads of trouble too but after 2 weeks of playing I finally have my system running things I have done are:
Fresh install of OS3.0
Fresh install of OS3.9
Replaced the Libs with the ones from:
http://phase5.a1k.org/index.php?driverslibraries
then loaded the Mediator Up date CD from Elbox website:
Ran the Updated Medconfig tool again from Elbox site.
Loaded the Picasso software selecting the CV64 3d, then went into the Devs folder and changed the CV64 3d name to Voodoo and did the right click and info on the icon changed the CV64 to Voodoo.
restarted the system
Then ran Picasso install again update and set the monitors up
Then restart
Then into Picasso ran Picasso96 mode and attached the Voodoo.
Ran test now it seems to run OK at 800x600.
But with my machine I have only got 12mb of ram a little hickup with the ram which I hope to get fixed soon.
What I have learnt is that Amibay is the only way to get this working as going through each thread gave me a little more. I have a Radeon now as well she is being seen by PCI info but I need more ram to play with to get her up and running so would advise if you don't already to increase your ram.
My system is:
A4000D 3640 25Mhz, 2 MB, 12Mb, Rev B motherboard with Buster 11, indivision AGA, Mediator 4000DI, Voodoo 3000, Realtech NIC, Radeon 9200, OS3.9.
Hope this might help I think my next purchase is going to be the Zorro Ram 128mb or maybe an 040 with ram.
@cougar: 3040? I know the A3640. Sorry for being pedantic.
Opps was half asleep you are correct just hold me up and slap me LOL:whistle:
Sado-masochism, huh? You'll feel @ home here...
BTW: did you visited the Atari section?
I have tried my Mediator again and it is still the same. I would say that mainboards are ok (unlikely for both to have same fault), mediator proved working, CPU cards ok (tested four). That is it. Life is to short and I have put my A4000 where it belongs - the loft :thumbsdown:. And now I can rest :coffee:.
@bebek
Hi again my friend...
Really I don't understand....... I've tested with Radeon & Voodoo3, Steve also test with Voodoo5 and works fine.....
Radeons board (including the Elbox ones) are a bit difficult to configure in some systems (why? I don't know). But Voodoo's are simple to install and I think the 99.9% of this boards works without probs.....
Do you test also with Voodoo and don't work?......
No ,can not justify spending more money on it, I can not make it work with radeon and three other Virge cards and I will not make it with voodoo - I am sure ... . I can not even try it now because it is in the loft :) and I am free man now :cool: .
I'm still happy to send my voodoo 5 to try :-)
@bebek
Hi again...
Bad to hear this my friend.... :(
Look, time is passed and I have now some things..... But, if you want it, at the end of the month (I think in the last week) I can refund your money+delivery again to Spain -you need to tell me how much is the delivery-. :)
Please, tell me your decission :)
Best wishes
Guys if Bebek wants to return the Mediator Di (assume its Di?) I'd take it :)
All the best.
Steve.
Hi Steve
Great my friend. :thumbsup:
I'm waiting an answer from bebek. :)
Thank you very much for offer but I will keep it. I wanted it for long and when I have it I will not let it go. At some point when I will forget about pain and humiliation it caused I will try again :) .
@bebek
OK my friend.
Really I want you find the way to put it working :thumbsup:
All the best
