Hi im selling my warp engine, it has an 68040 @40 mhz
Fast Scsi 2 Onboard max 10Mb/s transfer rate.
128Mb 60 ns 72Pin EDO ram
The cpu has passive cooling now ( bigger cooling block installed).
It's a full xc68040hrc40m 40 Mhz cpu.
Normally the 68040 gets very very hot, this one doesn't heat up that much.
With user manual and driver disk.

Arghhhh! Would have snapped this up, but realised it wont fit in an A3000. :(
If any kindly hardware guru can tell me how much work to convert this to work in an A3000 (just desolder the simm sockets and solder in angled ones?) I may still be interested.
Amikit has angled 72 pin sockets. But I'm no soldering Guru.

It looks like you would need to desolder and remove all 4 SIMM sockets. Then you install 2 angled SIMM sockets in slots 1 & 3. (Thats why the A3000 version has 1/2 the total memory). Also, you need to do INT2 mod for onboard SCSI. But you should keep the original SIMM sockets in case you ever decide to use it in an A4000.
As above posters said, you must put two 90° angled SIMM holders in place #1 & #3 to achieve 64Mb RAM.
Also it's better to use a latest mask MC68040 instead the fry-an-egg XC versions to quit using a fan over the CPU.
Space inside the A3000 is just too tight.
