Anyone chasing a cheap zorro USB solution?

OKiez, there is a fellow here in Australia who makes the Thylacine USB cards. These are a Zorro 2/3 USB Card that is compatible with Poseidon (does NOT come with a copy of Poseidon), and comes with its own usb stack.

The price has recently been reduced on these to just $59.00 AUD - surely the cheapest usb solution available for the Amiga.

Unfortunately, I just purchased the last one he had, but I am trying to convince him to make another batch, hopefully at the same price.

So Im looking for people who may be interested in a very cheap zorro usb solution for their classic miggy. I have owned one of these cards for a couple of years and found it to be a very good usb solution. Granted, it only supports USB 1.1 (no high speed USB 2.0) and the native stack does not have as many drivers as Poseidon does, but Poseidon can be used.

Anywho, if anyoen is interested in one (I personally want another 3), please express your interest so I can gauge if there is enough to warrant going back to the manufacturer.

Which stack does it use? Annais?

definiately interested in two, one for my A3000 and one for my nephews A4000
will we need anything else in order for those cards to work on our Amigas?

noperz, they come complete with a copy of Sirion USB stack on floppy and printed basic instructions. Simply plug in, install the software and you are away.

Of course, if you prefer to use Poseidon, you can. At one stage Poseidon was offered as an option for an additional cost (about $18.00 from memory).

Any estimate of the shipping cost to the USA?

No idea, but I would assume it would be around $20.00 aud - this is just a guess though, it may be cheaper.

UPDATE: Currently he is offerring worldwide postage for $10.00 AUD - so a total of $69.00 AUD gets you a brand new Zorro 2/3 USB card with software delivered to your door.

At that cost I would buy one as well. Good to see some alternative:whistle: Does it work ok with poseidon, or do we brake any soft licence rule with using poseidon with that
