Ouch! Why don't our paychecks almost double too? :(
Still, it's totally understandable that Robert doesn't want to do it for negative profit. I'm still interested though, if the price doesn't go too much over the 100 AUD marker.

I got mine in the mail yesterday and immediately installed it in my a3000 :)
The install disk had a few bad sectors. I was able to get it installed and working, though, by looking at the packages on there and grabbing them off the web.
I have tested it with a mouse and keyboard, and it's awesome! However, it makes my a3000 slow. It's got 2mb chip, 16mb fast, it isn't accelerated just running the 030. I should say that I'm using os3.9. Is anyone else having issues with speed?
Also - I installed the poseidon USB stack and disabled the one included with the card. I'm not 100% familiar with poseidon and how the Amiga handles file systems. I do have a thumbstick that I was hoping to use to transfer files back and forth with my linux pc. However, when I plug the thumbstick in, it looks like trident can 'see' it, but I don't know how to actually mount and use the filesystem...anyone? :)

My disk reads 100%, would you like me to ADF it for you?
I installed but didn't test with anything yet. The stack was running but I didn't think I had any compatible USB hardware here. You say this stack works with USB Mice?
Need to get a USB Ethernet adapter as I'd like to get this Amiga online.
Steve.
I would certainly be interested in getting one of these if he ends up doing another run.

+1 for me also... would be awesome to have USB on my A3000!

Sure, if you wouldn't mind (and that wouldn't be breaking any rules) I'd really appreciate it. It seems like most things that I've had shipped from overseas just don't stand up to the abuse of international shipping
I grabbed the latest poseidon (which is FREE btw) and checked out the site he is hosting right now for the thylacine, and there is a driver in there for the card to be used with poseidon. I'm still not even 50% sure how to use the thing but hopefully I'll figure it out :)
He's also got listed some USB hubs that work with the card. I'd like to find one of those that I can use my pc mouse/kb with an a/b switch. Actually, since I use vga on my a3000 anyway, maybe i can get a vga and usbx2 a/b and just use my pc setup fully with the amiga :)
Still, for now, I'd settle for getting my thumbstick to work!
Can someone get this board to run with Poseidon 4.4? I tried mine on my A500 plus with side slot zorro adapter. Got the thylacine.Device from 2004 in Devs:USBHardware and the board is recognized with Poseidon 4.4 and online, but i have no success with an usb key, my usual usb ethernet adapter or anything.
It seems that only Poseidon 3.X can run with the thylacine.
I'm going to try 3.8 if i can find again this version.
Indeed, Poseidon 4.x+ works only with E3B Deneb and Subway USB. The 'keyfile' such as it is for Poseidon 4.x is embedded in the card firmware.
Hodges doesn't support 3.x releases any more, you can't register the shareware version, making Elbox Spider cards useful only as paperweights and making life hard for Thylacine users.
That all said, he was working on an open source build of Poseidon for one of the AROS bounties, not sure how far he got with that, but if he's opened the code for AROS, some enterprising individual could always backport it to classic AmigaOS.
Indeed, i have tried the 3.8 and i need to inject some keyfiles that i do not have as i only have Subway/Algor/Deneb boards.
Unfortunately, as the Sirion stack does not support mass storage, this board is not useful on my A500 Plus, except perhaps for the network adapter.
