Ive just bought an A4000 but ive not got it yet, my main goal is to pump some more ram into my system on a low budget.
I noticed one of these cards (gvp by the looks of it) has simms attached, so ive included a pic hoping someone will know what it is and be able to tell me I can do with it? and hopefully tell me what the other cards are...
I already have 16mb fast ram in my A4000 so if this can pump some more into then all is good. The other cards will be a bonus.

That's a GVP HC+8 or impact series 2 Jon...max ram is 8mb.
it does seem to be a SCSI card, your miggy can't use the 8mb for system stuff, it's there for DMA transfers.
off topic.. is it me or does the battery seem to be leaking ?

and yeah, it looks pretty much to be a GVP HC8+ card
the simms are 30pins and slower than the 72pins you can add to the onboard sockets (up to 16 megs)

Looks like you have a small Zorro IDE card, Budda or FastATA maybe? Think there were some others too so could be a nice bonus :thumbsup:

well spoted steve its an alfa data something or other, they come with 1 ide and 1 cd/mitsumi connection that is you need a mitsustie or what ever they are called to use the cd connector
on the brighter side the ide part works with cf and sd cards
