Amiga 1200 + ACA1230

A few unexpected opportunities mean that I require some quick funding in order to pay for some college fees (been offered a shot at a degree) and help me find a bloody job ASAP. :wooha:

ACA1230/28 - SOLD
A1200 system only a little aged (yellowed keys, top plastics a little yellowed, bottom plastics whiter, clips intact) works flawlessly and includes 3.1 ROMS and a 2GB CF hard drive (HDD light does flash when in use) and throwing in a 250W ATX PSU modded for amigas as pictured and an original Tank mouse and scart as pictured - Asking £70 or near offer + Postage at cost for the lot.

The below games will be added for anyone putting up full asking price...

Frontier: Elite II

Willing to take £50 + postage for just the unit itself with 3.1 ROMS it has installed or £40 + Postage for the system alone with no ROMS.

Will throw in Frontier: ELITE II or Cannon Fodder, fully boxed with manuals as a thank you to anyone putting up the full asking price. :thumbsup:

Can you give me a shipping quote to 25311? Try DHL, too, perhaps?

I'm not trying to bump up this thread, but apparently I need 2 messages to PM the seller of this item. And so this is the second message, again registering interest contingent upon shipping costs to 25311 in the USA.

I meant I wanted a quote for shipping to USA 25311 on the A1200 unit itself plus the 3.1 Roms. I was totally unclear when I said I was registering interest, and so wanted to clarify for the board. I think I have an A500 PSU lying about at home so I shouldn't need the PSU.

I think you'll get into trouble using a 220V~50Hz power supply in the USA. Same for the SCART cable: not a single TV on the horizon to hook it in.

BTW: you have a proper monitor to use with this beauty, right? If not you'll only see images in black&white although the Amiga will generate colour properly.

I have an old 1084S back home still, but thats 1000 miles away... Might be better to withdraw interest before I begin then, eh? Thanks for the heads up.

An A1084 is for sale pretty much anywhere for peanuts nowadays, so why not? A PAL A1200 is an awesome machine and a bit more compatible with games from all parts of the world.

IT is just the NTSC land that lacks an universal modern monitor, so an A1084S is a must.

PMs replied to. Sorry for the delay. Doesn't look bright with the postage unfortunately anyways. This may have to be a UK only sale if it goes.

Shipping was pretty astonishing, so withdrawing interest. It seems that with rising petroleum prices have come rising shipping costs. I guess I need to focus on buying from the US or Canada only at this point unless it was a big (performance-wise) system or a small upgrade.

About the size of the miggy 1200 and an ATX psu and a couple of game boxes under it and a little newspaper for packing. It is a pretty large box, but its a pretty large machine, and I have can just about fit it all in with a little padding without actually squashing stuff. Taking out the PSU / games and halving the box height only drops the price by about 5 - 10 quid sadly. I might just end up keeping it at this rate.

Ironically, UK prices are reasonable at around £10 - 15 once VAT is added. Anywhere over seas seems to add 30 quid minimum.

Will make this UK only I think. If anyone wants it speak up, if its not gone by next week I'll prob close the thread.

how much do you want for amiga 1200 without psu? if still available

Will change this to UK only now for the sake of avoiding disappointment.

If anyones rich I may still consider international posting but be warned, all my quotes thus far have been £50 - £70 for shipping outside the UK based on package weight, and this is just cost of services. Its packaged in a decent sized box with enough packing around it to protect it and just enough space for the psu ontop.
I realise the package could be a little smaller without PSU but I really cant see the amount of space a PSU takes making that much difference.
It may make a difference to the weight but all my quotes thus far with and without the PSU have still been within the mentioned range.
