Hello,
I recently bought from Alti67 an PCMCIA ADF kit. I got last week a sandisk 128MB cf and installed everything. I can see the CF 122MB which i believe is correct but what is the way to see what's inside the CF ? It is formatted FAT16 i believe. I have to throw inside what kind of files? I own a A1200 with Workbench 3.0, roms 3.0 and hard disk 80MB. I already installed the "drivers" and can see inside Workbench the CF.

Since the CF is probably formated as you said with FAT16 filesystem you only need FAT95 mate (http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/fat95).
Just put fat95 into L: directory and you're good to go :)

Another stupid question... how shall i do this since i do not have it in a floppy?
Edit: this file must be in the floppy disk provided with ADF?

Hmmm that is tricky :)
You have 2 options to be able to transfer files to your Amiga.
- If you have a spare CF card you can format it under WinUAE (mounting it via a USB Reader) as an Amiga Hard Drive. That way your Amiga will see the CF Disk normally as it won't be FAT formatted.
- If you don't have a CF Card you can mount the 80MB Hard Drive via a USB to IDE cable into your PC and via WinUAE boot your drive and copy the FAT95 to your Amiga Hard drive from there.
There are other ways as well...
For small files you can use tape to convert hd floppy to dd floppy. Then format a floppy as dd in xp. Amiga has crossdos it needs to be activated first.
Amigakit sells a kit for pcmcia-cf inc disk. It has fat95 ready and the pcmcia drivers (I think you need a driver to read pcmca-cf mate)
It features a nice gui and is rather end user friendly.
I rather like its installer, although it does not seem to bring much any new toys, exept an adf tool, but hey I think the kit is reasonable, it saves you time to figure things out::thumbsup: It also puts files where they should be, meaning you cannot go wrong.

if you like to go El cheapo route Drivers for pcmcia-cf and fat95 are free on aminet. If you need an adf writer tsgui.lha is nice and free. A pcmcia to cf is also very easy to spot on ebay,

Thanks guys. Maybe i do something wrong meaning i get the icon for the CF card on workbench desktop and when i double click to see it's contents there's nothing BUT i get the total capacity of the card and what's inside it (ex. 1.2MB of 122MB total!)
I also opened a utility from WB which i believe to be a kind of notepad and was able to navigate in the CF and see folders and files.
I also opened a CLI and did some "dir" commands and saw a fat95 file somewhere, maybe on the floppy.
It seems to me that the software is OK and installled as it should be. The big question is where are the files and folders to open since i need them to configure my Indivision AGA !
