Nice looking A1000 mate! I'm thinking of doing a similar project in the (not too distant?) future, whereas i plan on replicating the 1060 Sidecar case to house a zorro card. Keep up the good job :thumbsup:

Another quick update on my A1000, work in progress.
As I've said before the case is in fairly poor condition so i don't mind a bit of gentle hacking , clips broke and ill fitting and if i mod the ram cover it could possibly be replaced later and no one would know..
i just need to get it all fitted up for the show this weekend :-)

Adjustable floppy bracket made at work this morning for the hxc floppy emu to be fitted too :-)

Hard drive stand to make now 37mm high so the A500 hard drive sit square and flush to the A1000
Okay - almost done!
some cleaning up and a bit of lining up to do ...
I made an adjustable floppy bracket , that will lower or raise as needed and with this I've managed to line the SD card up in the original floppy hole.
The 256K front ram had to be seriously hack to a smaller size to allow fitting of the buttons and wire to be run around it. Its a tight fit!
The momentary switches are in fact poor chinese copies of poor chinese switches which amaze me no end but they work, i have ordered some more and will replace them later.
Ive made the mistake of cleaning the from ram cover at work and now its a lot brighter than the rest of the 1000, so i have work to do...

:mad: LOL, it's your machine after all... I haven't modded any of my A1000's to any aesthetic extent, nor do i think i ever will. But i plan to build an A1060 Sidecar replica sometime in the future to cover external expansion needs. :)Quote:
