Overdrive PCMCIA Harddisk for A600/A1200

Hi People,

I have an Overdrive Archos PCMCIA Hard disk for A600/A1200 for sale with manual that I found online and printed out and original AQInstall floppy. The system boots in about 5 seconds from power on for me.

There is an install of Workbench 3.1 on the drive but it's sold as blank and you should wipe it and start again.

This can be used along-side an internal hard disk without problem. Be aware that some memory upgrades >4MB will block the PCMCIA port. In this case you can either remove the memory card completely or reduce the memeory to 4MB or boot workbench and run NoFastMem then run the app on CC0: to make the drive appear.

It has a built in 40 GB harddisk which I have been told can be used to its full potential with the SFS or PFS file systems.

It is all working perfectly and I have attached a picture.

u can use full amount on os 3.1 upwards ie i have a 32 gb sd card has amiga hard drive, im using rdb, smart file system and os 3.9 on it with boing bag 1 -4 installed.

Oh didn't know that thanks for the input uigiflip.

I had workbench 3.1 installed and the drive would only detect as an 8GB although I was using FFS as SFS doesn't seem to come with WB3.1 so I had no choice at the time. Out of interest where do I get SFS for WB3.1? is this it here ? http://hjohn.home.xs4all.nl/SFS/download.htm

its on aminet, and think its in boingbag 3 or 4 the unoffical ones for os 3.9.

I can't remember how I did i think there is a guide/readme on the sfs.lha file off aminet plus only use 0s3.x folder 0s4 folder is for power pc os 4

I've just tried RoyalMail and it says £11.96 is that acceptable? collectmyparcel and Parcel2Go are just silly prices for Europe.

This is not "sign for" so you will have to take the risk of it getting there. To add on "sign for" and up to £43 insurance its £12.51.

For the extra 55p I would say its worth it but it's entirely up to you my friend.
