nope no hacks, just unsolder, but be careful as you do need quite a bit of heat! slow and steady chap:thumbsup:
Ok thanks the only time I ever use RF was on my amiga 1000 till I got
a 1084s..
Also you think my 25 watt solder iron will do the job?

hmmmm, it's a big ass blob that you have to heat up, but you should be ok, just take your time dude:thumbsup:
Hi, I managed to remove the RF with a Dremel and a Very steady hand:)

I used hot air station - I just put a small screwdriver in the back and when all points are heated gravity takes care without track dammage.
Unfortuantely a 25watt iron is not going to be able to do this job.
The tin box of the UHF unit acts as a heatsink, there is no way you would be able to heat up the lot to melt the solder.
You would need in the minimum a 60watt iron, and desolder pump, but that will struggle, personally I would suggest a 100watt iron for this type of through-hole work - but that takes a little experience to wield as it can damage the pcb if its left on too long.
I have removed MANY UHF modulator units, and the best way to do them, is the way that our fellow AmiBayer jvdbossc suggests -
hot-air, and a small terminal screwdriver used to gently leaver out the module once the solder is melted.
Can anyone please put a link of this hot air station you guys refer to?
And a price range would be nice.
it'll be this one

I would just be to nervous doing this one..:D:D:D
So far this one seems to be the best..
So I guess the rework station is the best bet here I just have to be
patient till Christmas I was going to get one Last Christmas but
problems came up this year right into Paypal..
And thanks again guys..
