Hi Taj,
I think (can someone confirm) that you can get this from the Amiga Forever pack?
Cheers
John
Repeat for Extras and Fonts. Job done. ;)Code:AmigaShell.1> copy DF0: TO DH0: ALL
Unless I'm reading it wrong Andy - I don't think Taj has 2.0 disks - just 3.0 and 3.1?
J
I'm reading it as he's got Workbench2.0, Extras2.0 and Fonts2.0, but no Install2.0 (I've never even seen an Install2.0 disk, do they even exist?)
If he doesn't have Workbench/Extras/Fonts disks, he should probably look to acquire some legitimately from a genuine Amiga retailer before using this version of Workbench. :readit:
Hi guys
Thanks for the responses :)
I have the the 3.0 and 3.1 Install disks and the WB sets to go with them, but for 2.0 I only have the WB set, not the hard drive install disk. Im after this because I have a KS 2.0 machine that needs wiping and a clean install putting on.
Ill try the command line way if I cant get hold of the Install disk
Thanks
Taj
EDIT: Just to clarify, I have all the Workbench disk sets for 3.0 and 3.1 (originals) and the full WB2.04 and WB2.05 disk set too (originals), Im just after the Install disk so I can install WB2 to a HDD :)
That's what I expected. I've never owned an Install2.0 disk, I guess they probably only came with later-model A3000s (If they even exist at all). Even Install3.0 is reasonably uncommon.
As I say, path of least resistance is to just shell-copy the three disks to your boot volume and be happy. That's what I did to my A2000 before I sold it on.
And just for reference Amiga Forever does have WB2 - "Amiga Forever includes ROM and system disks between version 1.0 and 3.1, including 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.04, 2.05, 2.1, 3.0 and 3.1. Beta versions (e.g. "1.4", which was then released as 2.0)"
And is of course fully legitimate :)
John
They do exist as I have one. :)
I had managed to install WB2.0 before but I can't for the life of my remember how, though Juv's post seems right. I'm sure I had a thread topic about this before, i'l have a gander.
Oh BTW, you will need a 40Mb or less hard drive. :o
