I will soon have an Imac MB324B/A computer and was wondering if anyone here knew what compatible memory I could use. It currently only has 1gb and but id like to upgrade it 2gb or maybe even 4gb.
Id be buying the ram from www.aria.co.uk (if they have it)

is it a 20inch 2.66 imac (2008) - if so its ---800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, PC2-6400
Brilliant, its a 20" with core 2 duo 2.33ghz processor if that helps

Right so its just laptop memory isnt it, I read crucial work well with them but my local computer store dont sell it. Should I chance using Kingston!

Ah so Hynix ram works with macs, I have a spare 1gb laptop simmby Hynix so it might work with the mac and save me the trouble of going shopping! Ill wait until I get it tomorrow and see what its like.
Do you rate your mac over a pc?
Crucial seem to have the most compatability rates in most systems in my experience. Not sure about macs though but if theyre fine with standard modules I'd be trying crucial over anything else first.
Just so you know, I bought 2gb of kingston DDR2 667Mhz ram and it worked fine so total is now 3gb, I hear that 4gb works so I might up it to 4gb of matched ram now I know the ram is good. I just need to get some time and sit down and have a good go on the Mac now and see what its like, hopefully ill get some time this weekend.

Ive no idea what a mac can do but just using it briefly the other day it seemed pretty impressive.
