XC68040RC40 used 100% working

Hi,
I've decided to sell collection of mine CPU's and in this thread I will sell XC68040RC40.

Qty: 8
sold:
spock-79 - 1pcs
tabuhuso - 1pcs
Now: 6pcs

Price:
14EUR including NOT INSURED and NOT TRACKED delivey. So beware all that must deal with royal mail!!!!
Payment by PayPal.

Insured shipment to some countries possible, but it will cost more.

Most of them yes, but I think one or two are taken out from socket.

Only two of them are pulled from sockets (not soldered). Unfortunately these two are with heatsink glued and I cannot be 100% sure that they are really 40MHz version..

Yes, under the condition that A3640 is 100% working.

Yes, under the condition that A3640 is 100% working.

But be aware that you're unlikely to be able to clock an A3640 up to the chip's rated speed of 40MHz. With the delay line hack and a bit of luck, you might get it up to about 33MHz though!

but I can put the processor without making any changes? My 3640 has a 33MHz 040 CPU ... to 040 / 40 will work only change the cpu? ( =40 / 33 with the last firmware made by Cosmos )

If you think that replacing CPU 040@33MHz version by 040@40MHz will give you automatically 40MHz in the system - you are wrong.
It will still work @33MHz.

Also, most A3640 boards will not run even @33MHz. Some 3.1/3.2 boards will accept this kind of speed (and even around 38MHz, but I never see one personally!), the mileage will vary.

hi stachu,i have found a nice way of getting the heatsinks off 040's,if your interested.pop them in the freezer for a couple of hours to freeze them.then use a pre-heated oven to 200 celcius,pop them in the oven for 30 minutes it should break the seal on the glue.

Yes - CPU's were tested by installing into Blizzard 1240 socket.
That is why I know that they are ok.
