AmigaOne - Can I use my Radeon 9200/9250?

Hey ya'll!

I just took delivery of my first and only next gen Amiga \o/

Its an Amigaone bought in this thread:

It has Radeon 7000 on board but I'd like to use one of my 9200/9250's on the PCI slot if possible, since I have no manual and web search found nothing can anyoine let me know if this is possible and how to setup?

I'm guessing its not just plug and play :coffee:

As with everything I'd guess you need drivers if theyre not already built into the OS. I don't think youd damage anything though as PCI is pretty much industry standard, voltage / current wise.

If the voltages are right then plug 'n' play. Drivers for Radeon are already in AmigaOS 4.0+.

Thanks guys, I tested out my two cards and no boot with either of them. They're the same cards that don't work with Mediator+OS4.1Classic, hmm maybe thats the issue - cards just not supported by OS4.1 and not a Mediator issue like I thought.

Anyway Radeon 7000 seems to be OK anyway, GL stuff is running fine :)

OS4.1 is much nicer on this setup than Classic hardware, thats for sure :thumbsup:

That's for sure my friend . I bought one Sam440ep-Flex with OS 4.1 and installation is very easy :lol:. I'm still fighting with my 4.1 Classic.... :coffee:

I don't know in AmigaOne machines, but on Sam440ep-Flex you need a real 3.3v or "Universal 3.3v-5v" graphics board...

Thanks guys, I'm having all sorts of fun tonight with this AmigaOne :D

The Radeon 7000 thats integrated sems quick enough for everything I've thrown at it thus far, so I'm thinking to put this all in a MiniITX case :thumbsup:

Now to play with WHDLoad via E-UAE and other goodies :cool:

I didn't know till now about WHDLoad-E-UAE launcher, that looks pretty awesome and I wonder if it would work on OS4.1 Classic...
