Amiga 1000 casing & keyboard

I have just received my very first A1000! However the casing is cracked and needs replacing.

I am looking for the following items:

A1000 casing (the whole case)
A1000 Floppy button No longer required
A1000 keyboard

Id prefer non yellowed but its OK if it is. I would also prefer to buy from the UK to save on postage.

OK, I dont think I need the floppy button anymore, I found a button INSIDE (!) the case, I dont know if it will attach back on but Ill give it a try and update my Wanted ad if I no longer require it :)

Anyone got the other stuff Im after??

The button fitted back in OK :D So I now DONT need the floppy button but Im still after the casing & the keyboard please :)

I would be willing to buy a complete A1000 (PAL or NTSC) as long as the case and keyboard are in good condition (ie no cracks or deep scratches, doesnt matter if they are yellow).

I wouldnt normally go for one from abroad but it looks like I may have to swallow the wallet busting postage :( So will consider offers from outside the UK too.

I have a complete set of Plastics all Packaged up and ready to ship. They were to go off to member CHAIRK, but postage from Canada to the UK was cheapest $165 Can.
If you can wait about a week, I do have that other A1000 That I am asking $210 for (free shipping to the UK)
also about 4 years ago, I dropped off a complete set of A1000 plastics and A500 Plastics (that were so badly yellowed) to be painted by a professional Auto body painter. I just heard back that they were done (LOL) they are painted Black with red Pinstripes. When I actually get them in, I will post pictures (this weekend cross fingers)

I may be interested in the A1000 as bolded above. I have some questions, I hope you dont mind me asking :)

Does it come with a keyboard?
Is its (the keyboard and the A1000) fully working?
Is that $210 Canadian dollars? Im assuming it is :)
How long would that take to get to the UK?
And finally :D

Sorry for all the questions, as I say, I may be interested :) It looks like getting a whole A1000 is the best way of replacing the plastics on mine. Heck, theres nothing wrong with TWO A1000s is there! :lol:

To answer your questions:
The price is in USD
You will get a Complete STOCK A1000, with keyboard and Original right angled plug mouse.
It has a small amount of yellowing now, but once I get to the teardown, I hope it is just surface dirt. I will be doing a complete teardown and cleaning before I ship it, as right now it.
Canada Post always claims 14 Business days, but I have seen it up to 3 weeks.
Funny AmigaKits shipments always get here within 14 days.
If I can find a factory copy of Kick Start and WB 1.3 I will be tossing that in also.
In all honesty,The reason I say STOCK is because when I booted it for pictures, it looked like there was a Spirit board board (it read a full 2 megs of Ram). Unfortunately, if this is the case that upgrade will be going into my other 1000. The reason I just don't sell the other one, as it has the matching boxes with it (S/N's on the box), as I have been trying forever to get another RAM upgrade, after I foolishly sold the last Spirit board I had, thinking I would never get a 1K in again.

That sounds great :) And the conversion to GBP cost me around £130, which is not too bad eh :) The Kickstart/WB disks would be great too :) Im more than happy to wait for it, in fact, if its a few weeks before you are ready, that suits me just fine :)

Ok, but let me work on it first, before anything. I would hate to have something go sideways and then Refund your money.
I could take the next year off real work, and do nothing but clean and restore all these Amigas, thats how much of a stock pile I have.

LOL no problem :thumbsup: As I say, there is no rush and it suits me fine if it takes a few weeks :) At least I (potentially) have one now :bowdown:
