A500 case, early model

I have found this elsewhere and are no longer looking!

Looking for an early version of the A500 case to finally make my miggy "me". It's the one with the cast C= logo and not those that has the sticker logo. Let me clarify:

Aah haha nice nickname for the case, never heard of it even though I am an old Amigan.

It might actually be a paint project. Thinking of leaving it with PSX-Care here in Stockholm who does custom paint jobs on consoles and whatnot. We'll see. Other than that I guess I just have a fetish for the 'chicken lips' together with red power led and green df0: led. :roll:

Fair enough! One member (cough, Coze, cough) of this very forum had done a Chicken Lips in black and used the (obligatory) CDTV keyboard (now you can use black dye & black stickers).

But go for it! Better have a modified Amiga than no Amiga at all.

I actually have a CDTV kbd readily available here if I decide to do something paintwise to it. Used the key-caps for an A1200 that was dark gray before.

I have got one round an a500 but could transplant this case looks intact, but real nasty yellowed. One extra hole at the back for a switch however...;)

Hey Jvdbossc. I might be interrested in it. Not so sure I'm loving the drill hole though (picky picky, I'm an idiot I know ;)) but please post a pic of it. Severe yellowing is not an issue however, I have the means to reverse it.

Bottom is dammaged so I should search another bottom. Should have one, but I wait untill I have word you like the top or not.

Was this Amiga originally bought in Germany (or came from Germany, anyway) and then had a US keyboard installed? I have seen two examples of early A500s both sold in Germany and both had this exact switch installed (for disabling slow trapdoor RAM).
Might also say that the bottom cover has engravings too (Commodore mark + some specs), I think the top cover with the engraved C= logo was matched to these bottom covers, but the engraving in mine also reads 'made in west germany' so this "matching" could be just for german-made A500s.

No idea, this was bought in a huge pile close to border. Please note Belgium uses Azerty french keyboard. Also note that some early computers like c64 where only qwerty available so...

The netherlands dutch uses Qwerty but have slight different layout then this.
