hello all, help needed..
my size zero brain is buckling under the strain..

My IDE Zip drive on my A4000 , if i format it on the mac as fat16 100mb - the Amiga says in un initialised.
same in Windows.
If i format it on the Amiga using Ziptool 100 it formats it at 23mb..
erm why?
Dos driver missing somewhere?
I have both Classic workbench and OS 3.5

Try formatting it under WinUAE, should get the full 100MB then

nope winuae wants to format it at 3800k ..device not ready

With WinUAE, add it as an ext hardrive (in place of a CF or HD) and use HDToolbox to install an RDB onto it ;)
Basically treat it as a Hard Disk

how about formatting to fat16 on pc and installing fat95 filesystem on amiga.

I have a parallel port Zip drive and a couple of unused boxes of disks here; if you wanted to set a Zip drive up permanently connected to the Miggy, this will work with drivers that are available on Aminet.

Don't you also need to make a special cable as the parallel port of the Amiga is not compatible with the Zip drive? Can't remember, whether it was the Amiga parallel port that wasn't standard or Peecee.Quote:

I gave up, went back to good old ide HDD or its modern inequivalent the CF card
but yep think u sposed treat it as a removerable HDD if that makes sense
