A4000 screen modes for tv

Hello all.

I've moved my a4k to my playroom and plugged it in via scart in to my 32 inch samsung tv ... As my old 4000 was.

But while workbench displays happily any whdload game freezes the display but the sound continues - f10 or quit exits the game and workbench returns to life..

Why? Games are 15khz in whdload , I have pal & NTSC in my monitors folder I notice but this all worked before with I think a previous build of classic workbench adv

Any idea?

Nope I don't have a scan doubler , scart works just fine on my Sony tv downstairs too.

What is the model number of the TV, please?

Can you clarify what scan rate you are using for workbench?

If you have the option, try and switch the TV to another input source such as HDMI and back to the scart. Some Samsung Tvs can be a bit temperamental about the scan rates they will work at.

im trying a different scart lead at the min - now nothing shows up lol , try again tomorrow

I am not familiar with this particular model of TV, but I have a few ideas about what might be happening. Can you confirm:

1, The resolution and scan rate your workbench is working in.
2, If you are using any overscan
3, If you have anything else plugged into any other ports, such as the HDMI.

If you have the right cables around, it might be work trying to plug connect to the composite input. If you have a VCR around, you might also try connecting to the first scart on that, and passing the second scart through to the TV, just to see if that makes a difference.

You have 31.469 khz. So output in PC mode will be fine with Scandoubler/FlickerFixer.

In anyway I read in some forums about problems of the TV tuner of this specific model.... You can upgrade the firmware?

Other possibility is about the RGB connection. Amiga RGB is analogue, maybe the RGB input of this model is digital? I cannot see explanation of this question in the manual.

when i had this problem i had to update WHDLoad to 17 beta

FIXED.....

(idiot) simply select NTSC on the A4000 jumper.

i should of known, i had to do this on the minimig too!!!

sometimes im pretty dim!
