So are Paul's adapters a history at this point? I had bought directly from him years ago and tbh that new pic code is nowhere as good as Paul's (button mirroring, keymaps, cd32 pad emulation...) did he vanish completely? :(Quote:

Could you please write up a list of things that Paul's version had that Kipper2k's version does not have?
That way I can know if the missing features matter to me or not. If the missing features are not all that important to me then I may buy 4-8 of them.

Does the new kipper2k at least have optional mouse control on the analog stick?

The CD32 Pad Support sounds fantastically useful. I would really want that.

I don't know what keymaps are, I'll hafta read the manual but the fan on my cpu is just about to die it is scaring the crap out of me, making all sorts of weird whining noises LOUD, then the fan stops (not the noise) then starts back up and then speeds up and slows down and makes chopping sounds. CRIKEY! It is one of those band fan thingies. Came free with a brand new $99.00 PC in 2004. Been running continuously all these years.
I don't think the new version supports remaps... maybe kipper2k can verify this.
Keymaps are just user-stored remap settings , a nice extra ;)
The new version is not bad at all, don't get me wrong. It just seems it was built with atari in mind too whereas the old one seemed more amiga specific
My fan calmed down. HAHA as soon as I typed that it started screaming again.
To clarify: I want UP to still = UP but I just also want to be able to additionally have a button = UP.
It a pretty standard thing that all Amiga ppl desire as an option.
What are some popular games that exist in CD32 versions that make good use of CD32 specific features?
I never owned a CD32 but woudn't mind getting one. How useful was the CD32 specific featureset of Paul's version in real life?
yeah, the keyclone feature does exactly that: it mirrors buttons and works like you describe it...
the CD32 feature is great in the cases that you want to play some whdload CD32 games that use more than 2 buttons and when you own a cd32 and want to use a good joypad like the psx one.
I just received one of Paul's adapters, he actually had one left.
Saw his Youtube video and contacted him that way.
Have not tested it yet, but looks to be a very good build.

the buttons of this design cannot be remapped like Pauls design could. I tried to get more chips from Paul to make his design (which is CD32 fully compatible but he was off the radar) The features of the design i am using is in the first post of this thread
