First of all I found out that my original 8MB is static column while the new is fast page - I realized these won't work together after plugging in all the new chips... still 8MB, nice...
Then I found on A.org that they can actually coexist, but fast page needs to be placed in the primary RAM bank (thanks so much, tone007!).
So I plug them back, 4MB after 4MB, testing at each step before continuing, straightening the pins along the way (some of them were badly messed up... by me...) and when I finally finished at 1:30AM everything worked! Saying I was happy would be an understatement.
This, to me, embodies so much of the Amiga hobby - it takes time and a lot of sweat, but it's actually fun, you're learning along the way and when you finally get there and everything works it's such a good feeling!

Of course, this doesn't change the fact that ZIP RAM is a b*tch...

Sorry for this slightly off topic and long post. The important thing - Jozsi is an honest and reliable Amibayer and his merchandise is flawless! Once again thanks for the transaction, Jozsi.

Not sure as I don't have that hw to test, but I think the pros in the AmiOracle section will tell you in no time.

and the fact it's related to an Alfapower 500 controller family, I'd think it would work fine.
