Oktagon SCSI Controller
Looking for an Oktagon 2008 Rev7 controller. Will consider a different one that i can use in an A4000/40 desktop but prefer the above since the HDD's are already set up for it. Not familiar with Amiga so the less problems for me the better.
Also looking for WB 3.1 or a place that sells it.
Will need to be shipped to Canada
Thanks
Fred

if its still there, it will be about $40 including shipping, but let me check, I beleive there was only 4 megs of Ram on it, someone before I got it stole half.:D and it does have the driver disk
I am at work for another hour and half or so.

Sorry, this one is a Rev.6.8, but here are photos taken tonight 07/21/11

Not sure if it would work since the Rev.7 drivers are already loaded on the HDD. Since my WB3.0 instal disk is hooped & only have the WB3.1 instal disk i will still be screwed if i have to load Workbench again. Maybe i should wait to see if a Rev.7 will show up from you or someone else.

Ok, but further looking at this and the BBoAH says this board is indeed a revision 7 board, but the ROM is Vers. 6.8
Not sure if that helps

Well i guess i could try it & hope for the best. So how do i pay you then? Guess further contact by PM & then post on here if it's a done deal?
Have you tested this card to make sure it works?
-
If you want it, Paypal is the preferred way, but since you are here in Canada a postal Money order is fine also.
To be perfectly honest and up front, No this card has not been Tested yet by myself, and here is why:
This card came in about 2 years ago and has been stored in an anti static bag on my inventory shelf. Because the issue with the ram (see how its all stacked together) and the fact that I know absolutely less then nothing on ZIP RAM and how to even read the part numbers, It has sat as a "to do Project" when I get to it. Now I have a ton of other Amiga projects ahead of it, and it just remain there. I think I pulled it from the store for just that issue with the RAM. Also, you will have to make the MOLEX power connector, this takes less than 5 minutes, but the original one is not there for the hard drive (never got one).
I have no reason to believe that it won't work, as I have seen cards stored in far far worse shape and condition.
What I can do for you is on Sunday, when I am doing the final packing up on those A3000 Units, I can pull off all the ram, and Test the card. I will make the Power supply MOLEX connection) and throw on a drive. Take a picture and make sure its working. You just got to be patient. Trying to clean, test and package up 3 machines here with no real time to do it, Hence me being up at 4 AM to reply here when I have to work at 9am for a double shift.
I understand if you are hesitant now, but I just wanted to be completely up front. If you still wish to go through with the sale, PM me for the pay Pal address or mailing Address .

Not in a rush, just something to do while i'm waiting for motorcycle parts for a restoration. If you can check it out that's fine or if you want to send it as is & if it doesn't work i have the option to send it back for a refund minus shipping.
