Sonic 3 Box only PAL

Hey guys, I was looking through my megadrive collection and noticed my Sonic 3 had writing on the cover! :whistle: Yes it was me when I started secondary school putting my name on it incase it went missing... Why I took it into school to begin with I have no idea... lol

Anyways not fussed about the plastics of the box so long as the sleeve is in good condition as this is all I need to replace. I could just get another copy off the other bay but it seems a bit pricey these days to grab just for the cover.

Would like pics of the offer if poss :thumbsup:

You might need to resize it slightly to fit into a megadrive box properly though but thats easy to do in paint shop or photoshop. Dimensions you will need are 3200x2044 pixels and make sure it's printed at 300 dpi, trim it down and you have a cover. You cant tell much difference once they are in the cases.

These days any cheap photo printer will do a very near perfect job aslong as you use glossy paper. There's a guy who does alot of custom Dreamcast games and his printed Half Life versions are superb shop stock quality.

And by splashing out buying some photo paper and ink I will have likely well exceeded the price of another box. :p

I get what your saying Neo, Id much prefer an original too, although I can understand the others point about being able to print a very good quality copy (indeed my copy of Marvel vs Capcom on the DC has a printed front cover only because I wasnt too bothered about that particular game).

Err it is original? just because Sega or a company they paid didn't print it - it is still the original cover and will do the job just as well even on normal paper.

...And it's nothing like using emulators - comparing hardware to a piece of paper is just silly, as for Tim Henman... he retired so probably does play tennis on a wii (and would probably have more success:))

I get your point but lets not be immature and make a big thing out of this.

As for Henman, my point was he played for the love of the sport, as I play and collect for love of the retro. I simply wouldnt be comfortable having self made covers in my collection, no matter how perfect they may be.
