I just wanted to know what the highest Roms were for the CDTV, I am looking at my "parts" units, and One has "2.7" roms. I have been trying to hunt info on these, as I was under the impression that 2.3 was the highest. Any thoughts?
One is labeled, "CDTV 2.7 #0 U34 IFFC" the other says "CDTV 2.7 #1 U35 1407"
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
my eprom is equal, i suppose is the last
1FEC is the checksum a 16 bit for u34 and 1407 is a checksum for u35

Well my friend I would say that the person to ask here would be Tahoe, but I do beleive that its mainly some bug fixes, I think there was a firmware-flash upgrade that was one of the incorperated features, but please dont quote me on that.
As far as I know, 2.7 brings the ability to use modern-ish ROM (3.1) but you need to hook permanently an external floppy drive or the unit will not boot.
