Hi to all, I just bought here an Atari STfm, today, after unpacking it, I was presented with this video problem showed on the attached files.
One is on boot process, and the other is when it his up and running.
Can someone please please help me?
Point the way to fix this?
I just start to think that I throw away 80€ (for me, it is an huge sum of money, I am from Portugal, sorry my english)

This looks like one either you video processor is damaged or one or of your memory chips is damaged and hence the corruption -
I am not clue'd up enough to inform you more I am afraid to say - your best bet would be atari age forums =/

First of all, many thanks for your kind help, do you think that this problem could be due the transport of the package? What do you think?

If this has just been through the post then I would suggest a re-seat of any removable chips would be your first option.
Just gently prize them out with a small screwdriver, being careful not to damage the legs, blow in the sockets to remove any debris or dust and replace them and press firmly.
Further than that, I echo zetr0 in having a chat on an Atari forum, they may be of more help.
Don't blow in it! Any moisture (even microscopic amounts) could be fatal. Use compressed air for removing dust.Quote:

thank you guys for all the help that you gave to me...I will try it, removing dust, I will buy a can of compressed air to blow out any dust and remove the chips. Hope that works, because i am not a lucky guy
Hope to recover my 80€ investment on that ST, like it is at the moment is to throw it to the trash can...:(

The real solution is to, as mentioned above, reseat the chips.
I bring it up as the ST was famous for this, and I have even chatted with Atari shop owners who claim they were told to do this by Atari...
So it wouldn't surprise me if you just need to reseat the chips..
