Another A500+ with leaking battery
Hello all,
This is yet another thread with an A500+ whose battery hasn't been removed, I picked it up on ebay tonight and took pictures as I opened her up and cleaned things up.

Pretty yellowed, but I do have another A500+ with much worse battery damage and a nicer case - might do a swap.

At least some good news, the listing never mentioned a RAM expansion!

A bit dirty inside but not the worst I've seen, but on to the inevitable battery damage..

So, off with the battery and on with the lemon juice (the lump of white stuff beside Gary actually just fell off the battery as I was removing it)

The last photo isn't the best but I was surprised by how well the area around U12 and U10 has cleaned up.
I'm packing it in for tonight, but what's the consensus - will this machine live again?
UPDATE 23/08/2011: Tested the machine today but no joy yet. Currently the power light flashes around 10 times, goes solid, and then repeats. I need to pop Agnus out and have a look because I suspect the battery leak may have gotten in there slightly (can see some green on some of the socket contacts), but first I need to pick up a PLCC chip extractor.
Ever optimistic though, I decided to give the case a good scrub.. gratuitous soapy Amiga shots follow.
