[UK] Amiga 1200 and parts i need to get started up

Looking to by my first A1200 so just new to the scene. The reason i signed up is because im not to keen on ebay prices so i thought id try here instead!

I want everything i need to get started up; a mouse, A1200, PSU and some hookup cables. Depending on price i was going to get a CD Drive so if anyone has one or knows how to get that done please let me know. Would maybe like an external floppy drive but its not essential as i can buy one, same for a Hard Drive i can always buy a CF Adapter separately but that would be nice.

I have no idea what the going price for an A1200 is so im stabbing in the dark here, i just saw some bundles for £70-80+p&p ebay and wasn't too keen but if thats the going price i think ill need to consider my options.

I do Paypal and have Heatware if anyone is concerned.

Price for the 1200 is largely dependent on condition, old saying, 'you get you pay for'.

The higher price bundles are usually such because they have acelerators to speed them up which are generally pricey additions you'll wind up looking into further down the line anyway.

Yeah the price of the accelerators are expensive just looking to get what i need to get started and maybe a CD ROM drive. Blizzards seem to be famous and towering an Amiga seems to be cool but its costly and not really for me as im just a newbie lol.

Later down the line id probably get the kickstart chips and go OS 3.5. Doesn't seem like too difficult a job.

You'd be surprised there might be some hidden gems at carboot sales but ebay, gumtree, local adverts nothing really pops up and like i said its usually just the 1200 and a few disks for an absurd price! Its like when someone has an old NES console and think they can price it high just because its an old Nintendo.

EDIT: Although like i said in the OP i dont really know the going price of a A1200.

Items sell on here for what the buyer is prepared to pay and that the seller is prepared to accept, not what some body with extremely high hopes wishes for, if you follow me...;)

Do not forget you might need some sort of extra memory or cpu card to get a more general purpose machine after you buy a stock a1200. But hey, plenty of time to decide that one after you get an a1200.

There are plenty cheap kits on ebay for sale to get a cf hard disk, I have been using transcend and kingston cards quite hapelly with the el cheapos adapters... I would not recommend a cf card for constant daily usage, but if its for play and hobby use quite comfortable..:thumbsup:

Yeah i know from buying on other forums, post my interest but deal through PM's. The only thing i might need is possibly more RAM, accelerator cards with faster CPUs might be something to consider later on.
