Eee PC 901 with 2gb ram upgrade and 4gb sd card

Need to get rid of some more of my gear to help with my bank account, selling an Asus Eee PC 901, comes with original mouse, psu, upgraded the memory from 1gb to 2gb, 12gb SSD, has the recovery DVD with Windows XP (Japanese), includes manuals, original carry case and a 4gb SD card. Nice little machine but I don`t have the time to mess around with it, the firmware needs to be updated, but it has been working fine for me with Easy Peasy which is installed at the moment. The keyboard is Japanese but this has proved no problem with any of the other installs. I am looking for £85.00. I believe this machine will run Aros as well, but I have not tried this.

It also runs on windows xp and up by installing from an SD Card and runs very well (I used to have one many moons ago)

It also runs Windows 7 very nicely even though its not officially supported. I have two of these. Fantastic little machines. Buy it :D

Hmmm, tentative interest on behalf of my Dad. How much is shipping to the Uk likely to be?

The total weight is 1.8 kg so shipping would be:

EMS 3 days: £38.00 / ¥4,600
Airmail 6 days: £22.00 / ¥2,760 Small Packet - £41.00 / ¥5,050 International Package
SAL 2 weeks: £15.00 / ¥1,880 Small Packet - £31.00 / ¥3,850

I think I can get it for the Small Packet rate but I will have to make sure the packing is light, so probably will have to send it in a padded envelope for that rate.

One thing I should add is that it seems to have a tendency to go to the BIOS screen before booting, I was told this is an Firmware issue and it needs to be updated but I have no clue how to do this.

An older eeepc 701, just for email and such on the move. Haven't seen it yet myself, but the specs look a little light.
However it is running a slimmed down linux install, so it's probably Ok.
