hi all I have just got a job lot of Amigas,they cam as one lot A1200 A600HD A2000.
Only one I was interested in was the A2000 but its no hard drive or fast ram I have put a photo up for any advice on what I need for a HD and fast ram.
Its the workbench 2 model so any advice would be great.

Got your PM! Sorry I didn't reply yet. Sadly I'm not too up to date on A2000's as I don't own one yet but the GVP Combo Cards (SCSI/CPU) seem like a good upgrade as well as cheap RTG such as PicassoII :thumbsup:
If you just want SCSI upgrade and Fast Ram I think there are lots of cheap options out there.
First thing you need to check though is the battery, remove and clean up and leakage as it will erode the 68k CPU :o

I think I have a few HD controllers and maybe a SCSI drive or two sitting around in the office. If you're interested I can have a look, but of course if we start making a deal you'll have to do a wanted thread :)
thats for all the replys so guys, I`m after the cheapest way of doing this as I lost my job back in June, So at the moment I`m looking just getting a HD up and running then look at extra ram and mayby a CDrom.
The job lot I got came with a lot of software and some other Amigas and was going to keep stuff as spares and that but will look at selling the other Amigas to fund some of the upgrades, some software in there I have not seen for a long time.
it must have nearly 18 years ago when I had a A1500 but that had a HD and extra ram already,but again thanks for the links and advice, Steve not worry m8 I know you get busy, this may end up Cherry red you know :roll: BTW battary has already been taken out.

Yeah, the best single upgrade you can nab for a basic A2000 is a GVP HC+8. It'll give you a SCSI interface for a hard disk and up to 8MB FastRAM. Plug a CD-ROM drive and a disk on the SCSI card and you've got the makings of a decent A2000!
