Deal agreed with Cosmos on a same type and of equivalent functionality MC68882 25 MHz PLCC FPU and at the same latest price offer, since the exact chip originally pictured was no longer available.
I have received an email with actual photos and testing info for the new chip.

Status update - FPU from Cosmos has been received a while now.
It was recognised properly but failed repeated testing with GVP's FPU test. That went on for a few days until one day my A4000D suddently hang just sitting there and wouldn't boot until the FPU was removed (from the A3630 card I was meant for). Symptom was rapidly blinking Power LED on powerup.
I sourced another FPU to rule out the possibility it's my A3630 at fault and informed Cosmos accordingly.
Replacement FPU was received a couple days ago and passes GVP test fine, so it's confirmed it's the original FPU at fault.
I have PM-ed Cosmos accordingly, but now I see a 'Frozen' status under his alias so I don't even know if he can get to the PMs.

Some input from the mods may be required here :)

Frozen means that a member is having a calm down break or further discussions with the mods or admins.

a frozen member can still view the site and send and recieve PMs but is unable to post in the threads
