Directions for pirates and burglars: My loot
This is a documentation thread for stuff I have. I will take pics of them, and post it here.
If someone requests it, I will take better pics and closeups. This is my personal Pr0n thread.
First out is some CPU cards I have.
- 2x Commodore A3630 with 33mhz 68882 PLCC FPUs. Both are running at 25mhz. One was given to me by Coze, another was bought from skurk.[/*:m:qhoxq7yr]
- 1x Phase5 Blizzard 4030. This was bought of the other bay sans CPUs. The 40mhz PGA FPU was bought of da9000, and the 030 was bought of ebay I think. For a while Coze had this card with him.[/*:m:qhoxq7yr]
- 1x DKB 1202 memory and FPU card. I have a 40mhz FPU ready for this, but I'm waiting to see if I can buy a 40mhz crystal of da9000 for this. I have the 8MB of RAM that can go into this. This card was given to me by a friend.[/*:m:qhoxq7yr]

These are some of mouse adapters, keyboard adapters that I have.
What you see here is:

- 1x PS2 mouse adapter. Built by that busy Finnish guy I think.[/*:m:8d54tq9d]
- 1x Lyra 2 of Jens Schoenfeld of Individual Computers. Bought of AmigaKit.[/*:m:8d54tq9d]
Not in picture:
- 1x automatic joy/mouse switcher. Bought of a german from the other bay.[/*:m:8d54tq9d]

Re: Directions for pirates and burglars: My loot
This is a Commodore A3640 card I bought cheap of a guy in Germany. This is a v3.1 card @25mhz.
I'm looking for a MC68040RC40 for this, and a 80mhz crystal. This way I hope to upgrade it to a 40mhz card. Please dont comment on the upgrade in this thread, a separate thread exists for that discussion

Now this is a little on the edge... As I haven't received this card yet (picture is taken by mabus), and I haven't even paid for it yet, it's a little premature. BUT. Here goes.
This card is bought here. And it's a PIV. No introductions are needed. This card is a beauty.

This is my Prelude sound card. It's old, everything amiga is old I guess. But when I say that this card is old - I mean, I bought it my self new. Way back when I had my first Amiga 4000.
And yes, I also have the adapter with all the plugs which goes in the back.

Re: Directions for pirates and burglars: My loot
Now, this CyberVision PPC was bought from our own Kin Hell.
The PicassoIV was installed in the Amiga4000 which I bought when I came back to the Amiga. I travelled to Eidhoven in Netherlands and picked it up myself. I had too as the auction was local pickup only
The story of the PIV and the machine it came in can be read here

The bottom a500 was given to me by an ex-boyfriend of my sister. It was the machine that brought me back to the Amiga.
I don't bother to open the boxes now. They are stuffed :) Joysticks, extra floppy drives, 520s argh. A mess. :-)

Re: Directions for pirates and burglars: My loot
@arnljot
Very Nice collection & thanks for ALL the Hardware pr0n, much appreciated (Harrison, insert sloberring smilie here <)
I'm glad you have decked your HD+8 to the full 8MB FastRAM.
I have been searching for over a year for 4x2MB 30Pin SIMMS so I can upgrade the 4MB to 8MB in mine too, you know how it is 4MB is not just quite enough for some WHDLoad titles.
However they seem quite impossible to find. :(
I also need to find a 72Pin 2MB ChipRAM module for my A4000D too :(
Appreciate you taking the time to take all these photos and post them here.
Best Wishes my friend
TC

What do you use now? According to reports bigger sizes can also be used. Also I think I'll have one or two in spare when I get sorted through all of my stuff in two or three weeks. And if you're still a stick short, I'll sort you out mate.
-
Re: Directions for pirates and burglars: My loot
@arnljot
Thank you for the very kind offer I would love to accept If you do indeed have one left.
I currently use an 8MB SIMM in place...
Now ..............Before you ALL start saying Am I raving bonkers !!!!
2 reasons.
1: 8MB Simm Obsures 1st Zorro Slot.... I want a Deneb in there
2: And I know I'm going to get a kicking for this but here it goes,
Indivision AGA ------ Commodore's LISA, god bless her has no issues with 2MB or 8MB SIMM's however I have some doubts regarding the FPGA implementation of LISA, yes that IS what an Indivision AGA actually is, being happy with a similar arrangement.
Indivision AGA is not your typical off the shelf FlickerFixer, in fact it does not work from LISA's outputs at all, It actually disables and REPLACE's your onboard LISA and works from the Motherboards input to LISA, therefore the Mobo's timing and RAM addressing now have to satisfy the Clone LISA.
I am experiencing timing / bandwidth issues with IndivisionAGA's LISA and so I have to replace the RAM with a real 2MB stick to eliminate the RAM as the issue.
Bit of a controversial post, ooh err madam, bit of politics for you and food for thought.
TC
edit..... If you want to send me that spare Picasso IV at the same time I will be your friend for life

Re: Directions for pirates and burglars: My loot
Here is my main love. This girl is the girl the community built. The motherboard is from the Amiga4000D that I bought from Eidhoven, Netherlands. So it's Dutch. The CPU is usually a CSPPC I bought from Kin Hell.
The tower was bought at this bay from boot_wb. I bought the mediator from Elbox directly. Other stuff whos home is inside this girl is the Sound card, network card and PicassoIV. I've also had the CVPPC in this one.

Thats quite an offer Z-masta... But alas no, I love this card, it's super mint and previously Kin Hells card. So you know it's a sweetie :-)
But if I ever part with it, you will be first in line. But don't count on it happening :-)

Just re-capped this entire thread......
Is that offer is on for me too m8, 'cos I'd love to come for tea. :)
However, I could still be tempted to flee the Hotel later in the night with the Ski Mask under my arm. I'd just have to make sure when I visited that you had lots of snow so I wouldn't look out of place. I guess my Avatar Pic wouldn't cover my ass anyways. The melting Plasticine trail would be a dead give away!
Charlie
-
Charlie you'd be very welcome here my friend :)
Snow is overrated, and Oslo is very nice in summer. I haven't updated this thread in a while I see, I've got both a Deneb and ZorRAM which haven't been posted or even tested yet since I have way too few days in a day. (I need at least three days in a day to get this thing called life work out :))
-
I know that already Arnjlot. - I just fancied a bit of a friendly quip with you! :D
Awesome Amiga stash btw.
Charlie
-
Ahhhh :)
And I ruined it, now imagine how good I'm at this then after a bottle of chablis :-P
-
Well m8. They do say a well oiled machine always performs better, so best make it a couple of bottles of Chablis at least. ;)
Charlie
