I'm getting faster speeds with newer sticks:
512MB unbranded USB stick -- 2.5mb/s
2GB Silicon Power USB stick -- 3.6mb/s
4GB Sandisk Cruzer USB stick -- 3.7mb/s
Do you have any of your Voodoo ram reserved for the mediator pseudo-dma buffer?

voodoo mem is set to 10, tested with sandisc cruser 2GB, can you posted your med config file please ? I am testing it in sysinfo, but tried in workbench with clock and it is the same
Medconfig attached:
I do not see a significant difference, the biggest one is that you have A1200 and mine is in A4k. Attached medreport.
No, mine is an A4000 too. I noticed I do not have the buster variable set whilst you do though.
Showconfig is showing a strange result on yours:
PROCESSOR: CPU 68040/68040fpu
CUSTOM CHIPS: AA PAL Alice (id=$0023), AA Lisa (id=$00F8)
VERS: Kickstart version 40.68, Exec version 40.10, Disk version 40.42
RAM: Node type $A, Attributes $505 (FAST), at $8000000-$FFFFFFF (128.0 meg)
Node type $A, Attributes $2005 (FAST), at $64C02C00-$64EFFFFF (~3.0 meg)
Node type $A, Attributes $703 (CHIP), at $1000-$1FFFFF (~2.0 meg)
BOARDS:
hi guys anyone use with the 1200mediator yet as i have and only get the same as bebek 850k/s but on subway only 2-300k/s so faster and a bonus to subway no slowdowns
i put the
Mine is set to 8.
envarc:mediator/SpiderBuf
and same speed also i had to put it in the last slot 4 and needs to below voodoo to work
hi i just found out why only slow speeds there is 3 parts to the drivers
see here
http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=59726
open a cli and enter:
AddUSBHardware Devs:USBHardware/spider.device 2
AddUSBHardware Devs:USBHardware/spider.device 0
AddUSBHardware Devs:USBHardware/spider.device 1
and now get between 2.3mb and 3.3mb on old 44pin hd on usb to ide adapter and 3.5mb on cheap flash drive
delete the devices in trident
then do what it says above
it will then add 3 devices
2 for each set of ochi ports and i think the ehci high speed part
see this pic from that other thread
then save
and thats how i got the speed increase
Sorry for refreshing this old thread.
How did you flashed the serial eeprom chip on this generic USB card?
Anyone know where i can download spider.device 3.22?
